FRANK “HIBBITT” POSTIN, 70 of Linton, IN passed away at 9:35 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2011 at his residence.

He was born February 11, 1941 in Winslow, IN to Lester Postin and Maxine (Roberts) Postin.

Survivors include his spouse, Sharon I. (Rehmel) Postin of Linton, IN whom he married on August 12, 1987; sons & daughters-in-law, Frank “Shorty” Postin of Boonville, IN, KC & Samantha Crane of Midland, IN and Travis & Holly Crane of Lewis, IN; mother, Maxine Postin of Boonville, IN, mother in-law, Roberta Rehmel of Jasonville, IN; sisters & brothers-in-law, Dana & Rob Carter of Petersburg, IN, Carol & Donell Fulkerson of Boonville, IN, Karla & Monty Fetter of Newburgh, IN and Marlene & Clinton Meredith of Reed, KY; brothers & sisters-in-law, Shelby & Cynthia Postin and Jim & Charlotte Postin both of Boonville, IN, George & Mary Lou Postin of Washington State and Eddie Postin of Boonville, IN; and the greatest gifts God ever gave him, grandchildren, Mikayla “Miki J”, Loryn, Drew, Kaleb and Kingston.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Postin; sister, Trudy Postin; brother, David Postin; best friends, Bud Wynn and Ronnie Rehmel.

Frank retired from Peabody – Hawthorne Mine where he worked as a Pit Boss. He was a member of the UMWA and attended the Coalmont Church of God.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 4–9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral Services were 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2011 with Pastor Joy Rehmel officiating.

Interment was at K of P Cemetery in Hymera, IN.
