ALLIE EVYLEE (RAPIER) POTTS, 81, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 3:35 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015 in IU Health Bloomington in Bloomington, IN.

She was born May 22, 1934 in Rockholds, KY to Arthur Lee Rapier and Martha (Litrell) Rapier.

Allie married Barrett B. Potts October 15, 1955 and who passed away on February 3, 2013.

Survivors include her daughters & sons-in-law, Rhonda J. & John Hanish of Jasonville, IN, and Sharon & John Hnatko of Chesterton, IN; sons & daughters-in-law, Barry R. & Jeri Potts of Chicago, IN, Gary & Diane Potts of Hobart, IN, Larry D. Potts of Hammond, IN, Kenneth E. Potts of Jasonville, IN, and Randall L. & Katherine Potts of Munster, IN; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Arthur Rapier Jr. of Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, J.S. Rapier.

Allie worked as a caterer for Knights of Columbus in East Chicago, IN for 10 years. She was affectionately known as “Grandma” and loved cooking for family and friends. Allie was a life-long fisherman and no one was a stranger to her.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation was scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Messmer officiating.

Interment was at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
