MARY EVELYN PREECS, 85, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 3:50 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2014 in her residence.
She was born July 15, 1928 in Baltimore, MD to Joseph Henry Allenbaugh and May Teresa (Noonan) Allenbaugh.
Evelyn married Samuel Edward Preecs August 10, 1961 and he passed away on February 18, 1993.
Survivors include her sister, Helen Fones of Cheverly, MD; step-sister, Jean Chaney of Owings, MD; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sam Preecs.
Evelyn was a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Joan of Arc Church. She loved animals and adopted strays giving them veterinarian and loving care.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Graveside Memorial Services were scheduled 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Lebanon Cemetery, Midland, IN with Father Frank Renner officiating.
