REV. JAMES BERTON HIBBARD SR., 85, of Jasonville, IN passed away peacefully at his home at 9:18 P.M. Thursday, January 7, 2021.
He was born January 2, 1936 in London, KY to William G. Hibbard and Hazel H. (Young) Hibbard.
Survivors include his son, James B. Hibbard Jr. (Shelly) of Mooresville, IN; granddaughters, Ashley K. Hibbard, Kassandra D. Hibbard, Taylor R. Hibbard; great-grandchildren, 6; brother, Eckward “Brownie” Hibbard (Connie) of Jasonville, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3-wives, Patsy Pershing Hibbard, Connie Owings Hibbard, Joyce Eden; sisters, Juanita Hibbard, Billie Hibbard LeDune; brother, Roger N. Hibbard.
James was Pastor of Faith Tabernacle Church of God M.A. in Sullivan, IN. He was a co-founder, President and 32 year member of Greene County Chapter of Un-Chained Gang Motorcycle Ministry.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the funeral home. Graveside Services and interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, IN. with Pastor Carl Beadle and Pastor Ron Zimmerman officiating.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of James to Cox Funeral Home to help the family with funeral expenses. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
