GEORGE M. RHODERICK, 90, of Indianapolis, Indiana and formerly of Jasonville passed away at 5:53 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2013 in Community Hospital North, Indianapolis, IN.

He was born August 30, 1922 in Jasonville, IN to William Harrison Rhoderick and Opal Irene (Roseberry) Rhoderick.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Betty J. (Eccles) Rhoderick of Indianapolis, IN whom he married on September 1, 1945; son & daughter-in-law, David & Tamara Rhoderick of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, David & Shannon, Matt, Brandon, Jacob & Ellie; great-grandchildren, Alexander; brothers & sister-in-law, James Allen & Deann Rhoderick of Plainfield, IN, Joe Rhoderick of Jasonville, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clarence Alfred Rhoderick, Bill Lee Rhoderick, Jerry Dean Rhoderick.

He was a Jasonville High School graduate of 1940. He served in the European Theatre during his service as a Corporal in the fighting 69th Division Combat Engineers of the U.S. Army.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 5-8 Friday and 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Messmer officiating.

Interment was at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.

Memorial Contributions were made to the Jasonville Public Library or the Methodist Church Food Pantry.
