RHONDA KAY (ATWOOD) MIKEWORTH, 61, of Jarales, NM formerly of Hutsonville, IL passed away at 7:30 A.M. Monday,August 16, 2021 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, IL.
She was born June 27, 1960 in Sullivan, IN to Ronald B. Atwood and Patricia K. (Cox) Woolverton.
Survivors include her mother, Patricia Kay “Pat” Woolverton of Hutsonville, IL; father Ronald “Butch” Atwood of Jarales, NM; step-children, Amanda Loftis (Cory) of Robinson, IL, Darron Mikeworthof Robinson, IL, Jason Holloway of Robinson, IL; step-grandchildren,Terryn Loftis, Ryan Mikeworth, Connor Mikeworth, Trenton Holloway; special cousins, Gary Cox (Denise) of West Union, IL, Mike Cox (Teresa) of Jasonville, IN, Gregg Cox (Rhonda) of Hutsonville, IL; step-siblings, Charlie Atwood of Pheonix,AZ, Stephanie Atwood of AZ, Rachel Atwood of Winslow, AZ; uncle, Keith Atwood of El Paso, TX; aunt, Linda Woods (Don) of Stoy,IL.
She was preceded in death by her step-father, Arthur “Art” Woolverton; uncle, Thomas W. Cox.
Rhonda graduated Hutsonville High School Class of 1978. She had worked for various banks during her carreer but the last place she worked was Wells Fargo Bank in Jarales, NM as an Account Analyst until she retired in October of 2010. Rhonda was a member of Hutsonville First Christian Church and attended when she was home. She loved her dogs, cats, horses, chickens and lamas, really all animals. Rhonda enjoyed gardening and canning, making her salsa and sharing it with friends and family, she also enjoyed quilting, working with her hands and keeping busy. She looked forward to her trips back home to Hutsonville to love on and visit with her Mom, family and friends. Any one who knew Rhonda knew that she loved to help her neighbors, friends and any who were in need by cooking and caring. Rhonda was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the Hutsonville First Christian Church 62 South Pleasant Street, Hutsonville, IL withCelebration of Life Service at 2 P.M with Pastor David Smith officiating.
Interment will be at Hutsonville Cemetery in Hutsonville, IL at a later date.
