RICHARD L. “RIC” KELLER, 79, of Appleton, WI, formerly of Jasonville, IN, passed away 7:25 a.m. Friday, October 16, 2009 at Regency Place in Greenwood, IN. He was born September 23, 1930 in Clay County, IN to Forrest Wayne Keller and Mabel (Knight) Keller.

Ric graduated from Coalmont High School Class of 1949. He retired from the Air Force in 1953 and then retired as Chief Warrant Officer with the Indiana National Guard in 1990. Ric was a member of Friendly Grove Baptist Church and was also actively involved with The Friendly Grove Singers through 1979. He was a Lifetime Member of Appleton, WI American Legion Post #38.

Ric is survived by his spouse, Arcelia “Arcie” Crupi-Keller of Appleton, WI; his daughters & sons-in-law, Debra & Terry McDaniel of Spencer, Cindy & Greg Kline of Edwardsville, Paula & Bob Uhlenbrauck, Toni & Bob Hoh and Jerri Selig all of Appleton, WI; Kristen Crupi & LeRoi Smith of Seattle, WA, and Holly & Scott Koemer of Allenton, WI; sons & daughters-in-law, John & Debbi Keller of Brazil and James “Rob” Keller & Jim Haskell of Indianapolis; brothers & sisters-in-law, Lawrence & Rosemary Keller of Hymera and Carl & Sue Keller of Terre Haute; nine granddaughters; nine grandsons; two great-granddaughters; nine great-grandsons; and two nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, David Wayne Keller.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 19, 2009 at the Friendly Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Dickey officiating. Visitation was 2-5 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until service time. Military Graveside Rites were conducted. Interment was held at a later date at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Clay City, IN.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Ferguson-Lee Inc., Cox Chapel.
