RICHARD SCOTT SHACKLETT, 60, of Terre Haute, IN passed away at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2026 in Majestic Care at Deming Park in Terre, Haute, IN.
He was born April 20, 1965 in Detroit, MI to Alton “Brooks” Shacklett and Patrica (Bonham) Shacklett.
Survivors include his siblings, Doug Shacklett (Kathy) of Jasonville, IN, Paula Jewell of Jasonville, IN, James Shacklett of Jasonville, IN, Becky Shacklett (Charlie Kennett) of LasVegas, NV, Dallas Shacklett (Shannon) of Shelburn, IN, Danielle Marshall of Jasonville, IN; nieces and nephews, Darrin Shacklett (Jennifer), Dusti Kendall (Joe), Tommy Shacklett (Lynette), Shane Collier (Amanda), Ryan Smith, Adrienne Shacklett, Taylor Love (Andy), Patricke Shacklett, Corbin Marshall (Aubrey), Jasie McCraney (Autsin); many great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, nephew, Jason Collier.
Scott enjoyed listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Hank Williams Jr., and playing cards. He liked going to church when his health permitted and being a part of the service.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday January 20, 2026 at the Funeral Home. Services are immediately following at 1 p.m. with Pastor David Smith officiating.
Interment will be at Antioch Cemetery in Dugger, IN.
