ROGER “HUBIE” HIBBARD, 74, of Martinsville, IN passed away at 7:19 P.M. Sunday, October 31, 2020 in his home surrounded by his family in Martinsville, IN.
He was born October 31, 1946 in Dayton, KY to William Hibbard and Hazel (Young) Hibbard.
Survivors include his brother, Brownie Hibbard (Connie) of Jasonville, IN; nieces and nephews, Tammy Boland (Todd), Rick LeDune (Susan), Jimmy Hibbard (Shelly), Terry Clemons (Tim), extra special niece, Lisa Standerfer (Scott), Buddy Hibbard, Lori Hamilton (Jim); many friends and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Juanita Hibbard, Billie LeDune; brother, Jim Hibbard Sr.
Roger retired from City of Martinsville Municipality and the Army National Guard. Roger loved the Lord and served him in many capacities such as working in soup kitchens and working with the homeless. He started a Biker Church in Martinsville for those who felt they didn’t belong. Roger demonstrated the Joy of the Lord in everything he did and all that he went through. He truly lived to give and had a great love for his family.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Graveside Services are scheduled for 1 P.M. Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN with Darlene (Hibbard) Brown officiating.
