RONALD GEORGE LEWIS, 72, entered the gates of heaven on January 3, 2025.
He was born on May 4, 1952 in Indianapolis, IN.
The love of Ron’s life was Frona Lewis and they were married for 53 years.
Together they had three children, Ben Lewis, Missi (Jay) Atkinson and Chris Lewis. They were also blessed with grandchildren, Quentin Lewis, Kiah Spears, Kenzie Atkinson, Jordan Atkinson, Chrislyn Lewis, Carter Lewis and Cannan Blakely. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Ellouise White, sisters, Janie Dick and Charlotte Bennett. He is survived by sister, Debbie (Jeff) Reynolds and brother, Billy (Judy) White and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws who all thought the world of him.
Ron was strong in his faith and loved serving God, his family and his church. Throughout the years Ron served on his church board, sang in the choir, was a part of a quartet, he taught Sunday School class for many years, he drove a church bus, he played his trumpet, and recently enjoyed playing the organ for Howesville Community Church.
Ron was always so good to others. He always took the time to care for the needs of those around him. He especially loved his mother in-law, Betty. He treated her so kindly, just like his own mother.
Ron always enjoyed working. His first job when he was just a teenager was at Burger Chef. He found his career as a print press mechanic from which he retired. However, in recent years, he found joy in working at Menards in Terre Haute.
Ron leaves behind loving memories to be cherished by his devoted wife, his children and grandchildren, his extended family and all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian St., Jasonville, IN.
