ELSIE D. (BRIDWELL) ROSS, 90, of Rosedale, Indiana passed away at 8:55 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2011 in Union Hospital Terre Haute, Indiana. She was born November 4, 1920 in Midland, Indiana to Roy Bridwell and Pearl Rebecca (Clark) Bridwell. Elsie was married to Marion Winford Ross and he passed away March 1981.
Survivors include daughter, Lee Ross Gardner of Rosedale, IN; brother & sister-in-law, Nathan & Helen Bridwell of Jasonville, IN; nieces, Marsha & Jim McDaniel and Lucia & Louis Ross; great-niece, Lisa Stang; great-nephew, Ashley Ross; great-great niece, Evelyn & Eleanor Stang.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Carl Ray Gardner.
Elsie taught school in several different schools and was a member of the Providence Baptist Church.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 12 noon until 2 p.m. service time Friday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 2 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2011 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Dwight Gould officiating.
Interment was at Rosedale Cemetery in Rosedale, IN
