ROY “PUD” R. FIELD, 94, of Coalmont, IN passed away peacefully on Thursday August 20th,2026 at his home.

He was born on December 12, 1931 in Coalmont, IN to Henry and Velora Field. He was one of 11 children that all grew up in Coalmont, IN.

Roy was a lifelong resident of Coalmont, IN where he graduated from High School. He moved to Indianapolis and lived there for several years and retired from Chrysler.  While in Indianapolis he coached his sons little league teams at Christian Park for 20+ years and raised their three sons on the East side of Indianapolis. He then moved back to Coalmont where he lived his life out with his beloved wife Nancy for whom he was married to for 70+ years.

In his younger years he was in the Air Force Reserves.

He was a lifelong outdoorsman and enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with his brothers, sons and grandkids. He also enjoyed mushroom and ginseng hunting.

He was a member of the American Legion for 50+ years.

He is survived by his 2 sons Frank (Debbie), Fred and daughter in-law Mary Field.

He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Field (Wesnidge), son Samuel Field and daughter in-law Lisa Field.

His grandchildren are Jason Field (Jennifer), Dawn Ewers (Rusty), Michelle Field, Jessica Field, Carley Augustine (Nick) and Joshua Field. And he has numerous great grandchildren including Madison, Aubrey, Jamison, Dalton, Sydney, Dylan and Calena.  He also has great grandchildren including Brady, Hudson, Ivy, Winter, Paisley, Karter & Quinn.

In keeping with the family’s wishes cremation was chosen with no services scheduled at this time.
