DAPHNE LOUISE “DAFFY” RUSSELL, 78, of Jasonville, Indiana went home to her two loves, Lord and Jim. She passed away at 7:16 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2013 in Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center, Jasonville, IN.

She was born December 22, 1934 in Sullivan, IN to James Phillips and Opal Irene (Partlow) Phillips Baughman.

Daffy married James W. “Jim” Russell on December 31, 1955 and he passed away on September 18, 2011.

Survivors include her daughters & son-in-law, Monica Lynn “Tutti” Russell of Jasonville, Janell Irene & Tracy Hamilton of Jasonville; son & daughter-in-law, James E. “Bud” & Janelle Russell of Jasonville; grandchildren, Jessica Norine (Russell) & Matthew Davis, Kate Louise Russell, Jeremy Wayne & Mindy Hamilton, Curtis Wayne Hamilton; her beloved, Lacey Girl; sisters, Mary Walker of West Terre Haute, IN, Zoe Marshall of Poland, IN, Connie Little of Roseburg, OR; brothers, Jack Phillips of Indianapolis, IN, Max Baughman of Quakertown, PA; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life Jim, husband of 55 years; parents; and step-father, Elmer Maxwell Baughman.

Daphne was a graduate of Sullivan High School in 1952. She had worked for RCA at Bloomington, Formfit and Charles Industries in Jasonville. She was a member of Triad. She loved her hummingbirds and her flowers. She enjoyed all the time spent with her family, mushroom hunting and traveling.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 2 p.m. Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Messmer and Pastor Tracy Hamilton officiating.

Interment was at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN.
