MARGARET RUTH (WILLIE) RUSSELL, 88, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 1:20 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2011 in Sullivan County Community Hospital, Sullivan, IN.
She was born August 16, 1923 in Sullivan County, IN to Oscar Willie and Daisey (Lambright) Willie.
Ruth married Carl E. Russell on December 31, 1945 and he passed away on May 18, 2011.
Survivors include her sons & daughters-in-law, Garry & Linda Elaine Russell of Princeton, IN, William & Linda L. Russell of Linton, IN; grandchildren, Dusty Elaine Russell, Tony & Michelle Russell, Asanda & Matthew Mason; great-grandchildren, Jakob Richardson, Gage Mason, Garyck Russell, Jordan Bogdan, A.J. Russell, Irelynn Mason; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four sisters; one brother.
Ruth was a homemaker. She was a member of the Lawton Street Christian Church, O.E.S Hymera Lodge, Clay City American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday with Eastern Star Memorial Services at 6:30 p.m. and 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 2 P.M. Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Petty officiating.
Interment was at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN
