CELIA AVIS SEXTON, 97, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 10:07 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2016.
She was born March 8, 1919 in Solsberry, IN to Joel Emerson and Mary Elizabeth (Brunner) Emerson.
Survivors include her daughter, Arlena Roberts of Jasonville; grandchildren, Rebecca Hollingsworth, Sid Roberts, Jon Roberts, Stephen Sexton, Dena Ferguson, Cindy Anderson; great-grandchildren, Jesse Roberts, James Roberts, Melinda Roberts, Heather Johnson, Christopher Roberts, Jeff Sexton, Brandy Sexton, Kassandra Summers, James Dean Ferguson, Trevor Ferguson, Christopher Sexton, Dan Anderson, Sandra Ratlisse, Brandon Anderson; several great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred Sexton; grandson, Mike Sexton.
Celia had worked at RCA in Bloomington. She is a member of the Jasonville Assembly of God Church. She loved fishing, mushroom hunting, sewing and picking greens.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation was scheduled from 10 to Noon Saturday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services immediately followed visitation at 12 Noon, Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Bush officiating.
Interment was at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN.
