SHARON R. SEXTON, 72, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 1:40 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 2016 at her home in Jasonville, IN.

She was born March 2, 1943 in Terre Haute, IN to Joe Neal and Dorothy (Hardesty) Neal.

Sharon married Warren “Heavy” Sexton on August 6, 1993 and he passed away on November 30, 2010.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Amber & Charlie Gabbard of Terre Haute, IN, Dejah & Donnie Barron of Jasonville, IN; son and daughter-in-law, Eric & Becky Smith of Valparaiso, IN; step-son and daughter-in-law, Jon & Reva Sexton of Lead, SD; step-daughter, Cheryl Sexton of Phoenix, AZ; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Larry & Johann Neal of Spencer, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Warren Sexton; sister, Shirley Stewart; grandson, Jareth Smith.

Sharon was a graduate of Coalmont High School. She worked as a butcher in the meat department/deli at Shakamak IGA. Sharon also worked at a meat packing plant. She had a passion for flowers, and was owner/operator of her own flower shop for 5 year. She also loved to paint and draw. Sharon loved to travel, especially out west. She loved riding her Harley with Heavy. Sharon was a good cook and her specialty was biscuits and gravy and noodles. She enjoyed helping at church, serving at dinners and other functions.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation was scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Services followed at 8 p.m. Tuesday January 5, 2016 at Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Bush officiating.

There will be a graveside memorial service at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN at a later date.
