MARY ROSELYN SHACKLETT, 76, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 9:40 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2015 in her residence.

She was born February 10, 1939 in Coalmont, IN to Alton Shacklett and Opal (Yeryar) Shacklett.

Survivors include her best friend and husband of 60 years, Ronnie Luxton of Jasonville, IN; brothers & sister-in-law, Allyn Bryan & Eleanor June Shacklett of Linton, IN, Alvis Buell Shacklett of Jasonville, IN; sister-in-law, Pattie May Shacklett of Jasonville, IN; ex-sister-in-law and friend, Patty Ann LeClercq of Terre Haute, IN; several nieces and nephews, several great and several great-great nieces and nephews; blessed with many, many very close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Alton Brooks Shacklett; infant nephew; sister-in-law, Debra Jane Shacklett; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John R. & Lillian Luxton.

Mary and Ronnie led an active, involved life. They gave dancing lessons and did exhibitions over several states. In her younger years she worked at her mom’s restaurant, Rexall Drug Store, and the local hardware store. Mary graduated from Jasonville High School where she was a majorette. She belonged to Rainbow Girls and Triad. She worked at a jewelry store at Terre Haute, Quaker Maid, Formfit Factory for many years and retired from G.E. at Linton.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation was scheduled from Noon until 2 p.m. service time Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Bolinger officiating.

Interment was at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, IN.
