SHARON SUE (ROSS) ALLEN, 80, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 3:55 A. M. Tuesday, August 30, 2022 in Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton, IN.
She was born December 10, 1941 in Cincinnati, OH to Lisle Eugene Ross and Marcella L. (Herrler) Ross.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, John H. Allen ofJasonville, IN whom she married on November 16, 1963; daughter,Jennifer Swalls (David) of Danielsville, GA; granddaughter, Lydia Joy Swalls; bonus grandchildren, Ron Miller, Teresa Miller; sisters, Mary Ross of Franklin, IN, Nancy Bennett (Bob) of Martinsville, IN, Sally Poehner (Steve) of Cincinnati, OH, Carol Ross (Eric Lausch) of Auburn, WA, Betsy Ross of Dillsboro, IN, Kathleen Ross of Lawrenceburg, IN; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Brian Ross, Lisle Michael Ross.
Sharon graduated from Aurora High School in Aurora, IN. She graduated from Christ Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati, OH as an RN. Sharon worked for many years at Greene County General Hospital in Linton, IN until she retired. She loved to travel, heading to all points West, she also enjoyed reading. Sharon was the book keeper for the family farm for many years. She enjoyed hobby photography, taking many family photos. Sharon was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, loving the time spent with her family.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. In keeping with Sharon’s wishes cremation is scheduled, there will be a Celebration of Life held from Noon to 5 P.M. Saturday, September 10, 2022 at her home at 6476 N. 1400 W., Jasonville, IN.
