JOAN R. (DITTO) WHITE-SHONK, 84, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 2:35 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2017 in Providence Health Care St. Mary of The Woods in West Terre Haute.
She was born April 28, 1933 in Vermillion County, IN to Homer Ditto and Edna Marie (Arnold) Ditto.
Survivors include her husband, George B. Shonk of Jasonville; children, Jim Galloway (Cheryl) of Jasonville, Kim Soncrant of Camby, Greg White of Jasonville, Robbie White of Jasonville, Kelli Soncrant (Roger) of Jasonville; step-daughter, Donna Sears of West Terre Haute; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sibling, Jennie Keen of Houston, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Bob Ditto and Bill Ditto.
She worked as an LPN at Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center until she retired. Joan loved to yard sale, sell purses and collect quilts.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, IN; coxfuneralhomejasonville.com. Visitation was scheduled from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. with service immediately following at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Jonathon Heard officiating.
Interment was at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
