CLARENCE “JUNIOR” SNELLENBERGER, 89, of Lewis, Indiana passed away Friday morning, July 15, 2011 in Regional Hospital Terre Haute, IN.
He was born January 18, 1922 in Sullivan County, IN to Delmar Snellenberger and Nelle (Rehmel) Snellenberger Goble.
Survivors include his spouse, Joy Belle (Schriver) Snellenberger of Lewis, IN whom he married on March 17, 1989; daughter, Marianne Bemis of Indianapolis, IN; son, Randy Snellenberger of Rural Route Shelburn, IN; grandsons, Bryce Bemis of Charlotte, NC, Eric Bemis of Evansville, IN and Ryan Jay Snellenberger of Lafayette, IN; sister, Mary June Camic of FL; step-son, Larry E. Schriver of Terre Haute, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Vera Ruth (Shidler) Snellenberger who passed away in October 1987; granddaughter, Lyndsey Renee Snellenberger in 1986; step-son, Jerry Schriver in 2008.
Junior was a retired farmer and school bus driver for the Northeast-Sullivan School Corporation. He attended Shiloh Assembly of God Church in Rural Route Shelburn, was a member of the Hymera Ruritan Club, and was a U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran of WWII.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 4–8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral Services were 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas Turner officiating.
Interment was at K of P Cemetery in Hymera, IN with Military Graveside Rites.
