STEPHEN SCOTT “STEVE” WHEELER, 48, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 5:09 P.M. Friday, April 29, 2022 in Greene County General Hospital in Linton, IN.
He was born May 3, 1973 in Terre Haute, IN to John Scott Wheeler and Dorothy A. (Passen) Wheeler.
Survivors include his children, Scott Wheeler of Worthington, IN, Brandon M. Wheeler of Jasonville, IN, Julie Wheeler of Loogootee, IN; grandchildren, Ayvah O’Banion, Lucas Wheeler; mother, Dorothy Wheeler of Linton, IN; maternal grandmother, Betty Swayze of Linton, IN; several Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents, William Scott (Julia) Wheeler; maternal grandfather, Jake Passen.
Steve had worked construction. He enjoyed ginseng digging, hunting and fishing.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. In keeping with Steve’s wishes cremation is scheduled with a Gathering of Friends to be held from Noon to 2 P.M. Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at the Funeral Home. Memorial Services are immediately following with Pastor Sam Bush officiating.
Interment will be at Peavey Cemetery near Howesville, IN.
