STEVEN A. ANDREWS, 60, of Bloomington, IN passed away at 6:26 P.M. Tuesday, April 7, 2020 in Monroe Hospital in Bloomington, IN.
He was born March 2, 1960 in Ramstein Air Force Base in Landstuhl, West Germany to Walter M. Amdrews and Carol J. (Fisher) Andrews.
Survivors include his wife and best friend of 23 years, Robyn Andrews of Bloomington, IN; children, James & Reina, Stephanie & Abe, Cody & Mechaela; grandchildren, Clayton, Kyle, Jaden, Ezekiel and Ryan; siblings, Russ Andrews (Laurie) of West Bend, WI, Norma Weidmeyer (Lee) of Hollister, MO; niece & nephew. Kara (Josh), Andy (Amy), and special Mom Sandy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Andrews.
Steve enjoyed working with his hands doing remodeling and woodworking, riding motorcycles, traveling with Robyn and sitting by campfires enjoying good times with family and friends. He loved NASA and got to see his first live rocket launch on December 23rd, 2018 and his last launch on March 18th, 2020. He loved the beach, sand, sun, heat – spending hours sitting watching the waves and the tides come in.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. In keeping with Steve’s wishes cremation is scheduled with a gathering of family and friends to be held at a later date.
