CHARLOTTE MARIE THOMAS, 67, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 6:45 a.m. Thursday, October 3, 2013 in her residence.

She was born May 30, 1946 in Sullivan, IN to Roland Kenneth Wade and Rosella Maxine (Fields) Wade Lytle.

Survivors include her daughters & son-in-law, Michelle Thomas & Ivan Marak of Jasonville, IN, Stacy & Bo Samm of Jasonville, IN; grandchildren, Kiersten & Jerad Long, Brooklyn Samm and Mariah Samm; great granddaughter, Natalie Long; sisters & brothers-in-law, Sherron & Bill Fields of Bedford, IN, Greta & Sonny Bennett of Terre Haute, IN, Teresa Wade of Huntley, IL, Anita Williams of Clay City, IN; brothers & sister-in-law, Roland Kenneth & Marsha Wade, Jr. of Jasonville, IN, Perry Wade of Terre Haute, IN; niece/cancer buddy, Jaimie Spring of Huntley, IL; several nieces, nephews & cousins; many special gardening friends; special friend, Joe Rhoderick of Jasonville, IN.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Demery Lee Thomas whom she married August 22, 1965 and he passed away May 28, 1987; sister, Joyce Ann Wade; step-father, Curtis Lytle.

Charlotte graduated from Shakamak High School Class 1964. She was Clerk/Treasurer for the City of Jasonville and had worked for the city over 30 years. Charlotte was past member of the Jasonville Chamber of Commerce, Delts, Tri-Kappa, and had worked for the Jasonville Library. She had a passion for gardening and loved to travel, crochet and paint. She especially loved to spoil her grandbabies.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. service time Saturday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 2 p.m. Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Messmer officiating.

Interment was at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN.
