THOMAS D. BILYEU, 67, of Lyons, IN passed away at 4:24 P.M. Thursday, November 19, 2020 in Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN.
He was born June 5, 1953 in Sullivan, IN to Paul Edwin Bilyeu and Lois Juanita (Thomas) Bilyeu.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Cathy Bilyeu of Lyons, IN who he married on August 19, 1982; daughters, Leslie Carmickle (Mervil) of New Albany, IN, Sarah Morrow of Hutsonville, IL, Suzanne Bilyeu of Sullivan, IN; sons, Steve Yontz (Kathleen) of Hagerstown, IN, Brayden Bilyeu of Lyons, IN, Camden Bilyeu of Lyons, IN; grandchildren, Grayson Carmickle, Caleb Kelm, Austin Kelm, Hayden Kelm, Xavier Yontz, Kodi Yontz (Kayla), Aleesha Study (Bobby); brothers, Phillip Bilyeu (Carolyn) of Avon, IN, Bobby Bilyeu (Wanda) of Indianapolis, IN; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Raymond Bilyeu, William “Bump” Bilyeu, Aaron Bilyeu.
Thomas graduated Shakamak High School Class of 1971. He loved sports and played basketball at Shakamak. Thomas was a loving husband, father, grandfather and treasured the time he spent with his family. He was also a licensed pastor. He loved hunting, fishing and was a huge I.U. fan and Chicago Bears fan as well.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services are 2 P.M. Tuesday, November 24, 2020 with Pastor Phillip Bilyeu officiating.
Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, IN.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Thomas to help with funeral expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
