THOMAS RUSSELL GRIFFITH, 78, of Dugger, IN passed away at 6:01 P.M. Tuesday, August 15, 2023 in Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN.
He was born November 15, 1944 in Madison, WI to Thomas Griffith Jr. and Mary Margaret (Ingram) Griffith.
Survivors include his sister, Sharon Curtis of Menifee, CA; nieces and nephew, Sophia, Vinnie, Jennifer, Kylie; his dog, Zachariah; many,many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Thomas graduated from Lawrence High School in Lawrence, IN. He attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA where he earned a BA. He worked as a Comptroller for several banks as well as owning his own business, Butterfield Stage. Thomas’s parents grew up in the Coalmont – Clay City area. He was an avid NASCAR fan and a teller of family and personal stories and he told them well.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. As Thomas requested there will be a Graveside Service at Friendly Grove Cemetery at 2 P.M. Thursday, August 17, 2023.
