PHYLLIS IRENE THOMLEY, 98, of Hymera, Indiana passed away at 10:20 a.m. Thursday, May, 16, 2013 in Shakamak Good Samaritan Nursing Center, Jasonville.

She was born February 21, 1915 in Hymera, IN to Clifford E. Mahan & Ida Mae (McMillen) Mahan.

Phyllis married Crettis Woodrow Thomley on October 16, 1938 and he passed away on August 12, 1963.

Survivors include her sons & daughter-in-law, Terry & Donna Thomley of Naples, FL, Michael ”Mick” Thomley of Bookings, OR; niece, Elaine & Chic Hudson of Jasonville, IN; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, George Mahan; sisters, Louise Chapman, Corine Mahan, Virginia Fougerousse, Pat Young.

Phyllis worked in Civil Service as a secretary for 25 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Hymera Bethel United Methodist Church. She was church organist for 30 years and enjoyed gardening and traveling.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from Noon until 2 p.m. service time Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Norman Santus officiating.

Interment was at K of P Cemetery in Hymera, IN.
