TIMOTHY W. “TIM” THOMAS, 59, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2020 in IU Health Bloomington, Bloomington, IN.
He was born August 31, 1960 in Linton, IN to Harold Thomas and Betty (Swaby) Thomas.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Thomas of Jasonville, IN; brother, David Thomas (Vicki Griffith) of Quincy, IN; niece, Daniel Thomas; great-nephew, Zachary Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his father, Pastor Harold Thomas.
Tim was passionate about helping young people especially troubled kids. He worked at Edgewater Systems in Gary, IN in Social Services for many years helping many kids and older adults as well. Tim loved birds such as Macaw’s and other types of parrots and exotic birds and had several as pets. He so loved the time he could spend with his family and friends.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 1 P.M. Sunday February 9, 2020 at Friendly Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Darren Sluder officiating. There will be time following the service for fellowship and food in the fellowship hall of the church.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Tim to Friendly Grove Cemetery Fund. Envelopes are available at the church.
