VAN H. WALLISA, 61, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 10:03 A.M. Saturday, June 19, 2021 in his home surrounded by his family.

He was born May 31, 1960 in Linton, IN to Wayne Wallisa and Jewel (Anderson) Wallisa.

Survivors include his wife, Vicky (Dickey) Wallisa of Jasonville, IN who he married on September 5, 2006; sons, John Dickey (Charity Pullum-Dickey) of Bloomington, IN, Van Dickey (Nicole) of Jasonville, IN; grandchildren, Haley Dickey, Vanessa Dickey, Maggie Dickey, Donald Kirkham, Clara Kirkham, Devan Kirkham, Zyona Weaver, Jozilyn Weaver, Jessica Weaver, Revina Edwards; great-grandchildren, Ryker Jackson; siblings, Sherry Norris-Reule (Jim) of Solsberry, IN, Tanya Ferris (Howard) of Jasonville, IN, Rose Shouse (Terry) of Linton, IN, Dan Wallisa (Rhonda) of Shoals, IN, Jan Wallisa of Linton, IN, Jane Wallisa of Linton, IN; sister in-laws, Judy Wallisa of Jasonville, IN, Tanya Wallisa of Linton, IN, Karen Dickey of Jasonville, IN, Pam Powell of Linton, IN, Ellen Ricketts (Larry) of Petersburg, IN; mother in-law, Rosie Dickey of Jasonville, IN; several nieces & nephews and greatnieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Brigham “Wally” Wallisa, Terry Wallisa; father in-law, Dean Dickey.

Van worked at Woods Wire and North American Latex. He liked to play pool, Risk, Euchre and dice. He also liked mushroom hunting watching sports and setting around the campfire listening to music. Van loved time spent with his family and especially his grandkids.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services are 1 P.M. Wednesday, June 23, 2021 with his son Van Dickey and Pastor Larry Ricketts officiating.

Interment will be at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN.
