VIRGINIA LEE JASKOWIAK, 80, of Lyons, Indiana passed away 1:58 p.m. Thursday, March 11 , 2010 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. She was born October 12, 1929 in Jasonville, IN to Jesse K. Shacklett and Georgia M. (Rumple) Shacklett. She married Albert Jaskowiak August 1948 and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include daughter & son-in-law, Beverly and Charlie Megal of West Allis, WI; sons & daughters-in-law, David & Mary Lou Jaskowiak of Ridgefield, WI, Doug & Mary Jaskowiak of Jackson, WI; sisters & brothers-in-law, Wanda McBride and Tharen & John Burris all of Jasonville, IN; sister-in-law, Louise Shacklett of Highland, IN; grandchildren, Kimberly & Jeff Theel, Beth & Bryan Harned, Rebecca & Jason Klein, Jacob & Shannon Jaskowiak; great-grandchildren, Jessica & Samantha Theel, Stacia & Ally Harned and Taylor Klein. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Albert Jaskowiak, brother, Russell Shacklett.
Virginia retired from AT&T after 35 years of service, was a member of Ridgefield Lions Club in Wisconsin, Attended Corner Stone Apostolic Church in Switz City. She enjoyed golfing, crocheting, reading her Bible and attending her church.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian Street, Jasonville, IN. Visitation was 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral Service time at the funeral home on Monday, March 15, 2010 with Pastor Sam Bush officiating. As she requested cremation was chosen and interment followed in Lebanon Cemetery, Midland, IN
