DONALD HOWARD WASMER, 84, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2013 in Union Hospital Terre Haute, IN.

He was born March 3, 1928 in Jasonville, IN to Joseph Franklin Wasmer and Minnie Fay (Fields) Wasmer.

Donald married the light of his life Marjorie E. (Harris) Wasmer on April 10, 1954 and she passed away on June 10, 2000.

Survivors include his, daughter & son-in-law, Pam Wasmer & James Chiplis of Bloomington, IN; son & daughter-in-law, D.J. & Rachel Wasmer of West Terre Haute, IN; step-grandchildren, Gracie, Gwyn, Lilly Renfro; sister, Jo Ann Hamilton of Jasonville, IN; best buddy, Solo; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Geneva Bledsoe; and special mother-in-law, Effie (Nannie) Harris.

Donald was a 1946 Jasonville High School Graduate. He had worked for Anaconda/Alcan from 1959-1987. He had also worked at Sinders Chevrolet in Jasonville in his early years. He was a Life Member of the National Rifle Association, Ducks Unlimited, Quail Unlimited and The Isaac Walton League. Donald was an avid outdoorsman and master gardener.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana with Visitation scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Messmer officiating.

Interment was at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
