WAYNE EDWARD WILLIAMS, 88, of Jasonville passed away 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2010 at his residence, Jasonville, Indiana. Wayne was born in Patricksburg, IN on March 25, 1922 to Franklin B. Williams and Alta Pearl (Hacker) Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Reba (Cross) Williams; daughter, Leah Slater; sons, Bob Williams and David Williams; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, William Williams; and sister, Vera Lentz.

Survivors include daughters & sons-in-law, Gerrie & Ron Watson of Linton, Karen Williams of Jasonville, Lori & Brad Markle of Linton; sons & daughter-in-law, Norman & Darlene Williams of Martinsville, John Williams of Dugger; sisters & brothers-in-law,  Ruby & Charles Godsey of Bloomington, Mary Doyle of Patricksburg, Dorothy & Art Lee of Worthington; seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

Wayne retired from the military as a Master Sergeant after 21 years, retired from ordinance at Crane in 1985 and was a member of the Linton American Legion Post #22. He served in WW II and the Korean War, in the Army & Army Air Force 57th Squadron.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian Street, Jasonville, Indiana with visitation scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday. Funeral Services were 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2010 with Pastor Sam Bush officiating. Interment followed in Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, Indiana with Military Graveside Rites.
