KENNETH WEATHERS, 85, of Worthington, Indiana passed away at 9:40 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016, at the IU Hospice House.

Born Aug. 19, 1929, on the family farm in Worthington, he was the son of Dale and Lula (Begeman) Weathers. He was a member of the Linton First Christian Church. He enjoyed participating in the Thanksgiving dinners provided by the church each November by delivering meals, washing dishes or providing any service needed. He was an Army veteran and was stationed in Germany during this time. He married Carol Faulk, October of 1955. He and Carol enjoyed many years of traveling after their retirement, visiting with family and friends.

Kenny was a retired farmer, loving, husband, father, papaw and friend. He loved picking sweet corn and giving it to family and friends. He spent countless hours visiting friends and family at various nursing homes in the area, taking cookies or holiday treats made by his wife.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; son, James (Michelle) Weathers; daughter, Susan (Kenny) Fiscus and daughter, Luann (Tom) Shelton; and sister, Betty Skeel. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, James Fiscus, Matthew (Destiny) Fiscus, Jacki (Mickey) Hayes, Jared Shelton, Kari Shelton, Kurt (Stephanie) Shelton, Sara Vaughn, Alex Weathers, Daniel Weathers; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Ross Weathers.

At his request, there were no services. Kenny had requested donations be made in his honor to any of the organizations listed below, Linton First Christian Church, Worthington Senior Citizens, Sonshine Shop of Worthington, WJHS Alumni Scholarship Fund, Worthington Police Department, Worthington Fire Department or 4-H Council Greene County Scholarship Fund.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home, 218 South Meridian Street, Jasonville, Ind.
