MARJORIE ROSE WEST, 88, Coalmont, Indiana passed away at 6:01 p.m. Thursday, September 22, 2011 at her residence.
She was born December 10, 1922 in Sullivan, IN to Fred Collins and Christine (Anderson) Collins.
Marge married Joe B. West September 14, 1947.
Survivors include son, Scott F. West & Jan Wright of Coalmont, IN; sister, Mary Helen Roberts of Sullivan, IN; granddaughters, Brandy (West) & Randy Miller of Mooresville, IN, Whitnea & Michael May of Jasonville; grandson, Jesse S. West of Terre Haute, IN; great-grandsons, Judson, Cooper, Maddox, Gavin & Brier; great-granddaughters, Bailey, Addison, Caitlynne, Journey, Remmington; cousin, Bud & Jennie McCammon of Terre Haute, IN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe B. West, November 19,1993; son, Joe Ed West, March 19, 1983; friend, Orvan Rehmel, December 25, 2010.
Marge touched many as a bus driver for the Shakamak School Corporation, retired from Roots, was a member of the Coalmont Baptist Church, the Sullivan County Extension Homemakers and was a graduate of Sullivan High School Class of 1940.
Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, IN. Visitation was 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. until service time Monday at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services were 11 a.m. Monday, September 26, 2011 at the Funeral Home with Pastor Brad West officiating.
Interment was at Sanders Cemetery in Rural Jasonville.
