WILDA OBERENE (TRIMBLE) RIDGLEY, 96, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 7:15 A.M. Monday, November 16, 2020 in Shakamak Good Samaritan Center in Jasonville, IN.

She was born April 23, 1924 in Sullivan County, IN to Benjamin Harrison Trimble and Kathryn (Nash) Trimble.

Wilda married Lee M. Ridgley on November 3, 1946 and he passed away on August 26, 2001.

Survivors include her children, Doris Smith of Jasonville, IN, Virginia Dickerson (Chuck) of Kansas City, MO, Rita Richards (Ron) of Kansas City, MO, Wally Ridgley (Josie) of Jasonville, IN; 8 –  grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; some great-great-grandchildren;  sister, Martha Sue Trimble of Grantsville, UT; sister in-laws, Marie Patterson of Olney, IL, Mildred Samms (Don) of Lincoln, CA, Juanita Judge of Sycamore, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, William J. Trimble, son in-law, Joe F. Smith.

Wilda graduated Carlisle High School Class of 1942. She worked at Allison’s in Indianapolis during the war and later worked with Lee at the gas station. Wilda enjoyed sewing, playing Skipbo and was very involved in getting the Girl Scouts reestablished in Jasonville. The family wants to thank the Shakamak Good Samaritan Center Administration and Staff for the loving and compassionate care given to Wilda while she was there.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Due to Covid 19 Private family visitation and funeral are scheduled with Ron Richards officiating.

Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Wilda to Jasonville Senior Citizens Center, 145 ½ South Lawton St., Jasonville, IN.
