DAVID M. WILKINS, 59, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away at 9:40 a.m. Thursday, January 26, 2012 in Regional Hospital, Terre Haute, IN.

He was born July 19, 1952 in Germany to Jack Wilkins and Frieda (Allen) Wilkins.

Survivors include his son, David E. Wilkins of Linton, IN; best friend, Karen Henico; 2nd mom, June Wilkins of Jasonville, IN; sisters, Mary Wilkins of Indianapolis, IN, Terrie Long of Jasonville, IN, Brenda St. John of Indianapolis, IN; brothers & sisters-in-law, Bill & Robin Wilkins of Linton, IN, Robert Wilkins of Indianapolis, IN, Richard Wilkins of Indianapolis, IN, Mike & Alisha Wilkins of Jasonville, IN; step-sisters, Debby & Bill Kennett of Jasonville, IN, Mona Hendricks of Jasonville, IN; step-brothers, Rod & Lori Lambermont of Jasonville, IN, Randy & Linda Lambermont, of Brazil, IN, Edward & Sandy Lambermont of Jasonville, IN; many nieces and nephews; one special niece and nephew, Lanie Swick and Kipton Griffith who he baby set with for four years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Frieda Wilkins and father, Jack E. Wilkins.

David loved his dog Amy Nicole who he left in his sons care. He loved to read and owned hundreds of books relating to war, he also watched many movies with his son. If David could have left a message, it would be “Don’t Smoke”.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Cremation was chosen and a Gathering of Friends  was scheduled from 12 – 1 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012. A Memorial Service followed at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Bolinger officiating.
