WILLIAM L. “BILL” WEST, 64, passed away at 8:47 a.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton, IN. William was born April 14, 1945 in Sullivan, IN to Emery Lyman West and Ester Marie (Miller) West.

He was retired from GE  in Linton after 30 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army with a tour of duty in Germany.

He is survived by his spouse, Loretta (Miller) West of Jasonville; daughters & son-in-law, Sheryll Ward of Terre Haute,  Linda & Troy Bell of Richlands, NC, Melynda McKinney of Terre Haute; son, Terry Ward of Jasonville; grandchildren, Billy Ward, Kristan Bell and Devon Bell; great grandchildren, Branton Ward and Kasen Ward; sisters, Marsha K. Lace of Lyons, Judy Wallisa of Jasonville, and Cathy Klaer of St. Joseph, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roger West.

Visitation was 5-8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the Friendly Grove Baptist Church. Funeral Services were 10 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2009 all at the church in Lewis, IN with Pastor Brad West officiating. Interment was in Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN. Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Ferguson-Lee Inc., Cox Chapel.
