WILLIAM T. “BILL” EBERT, 81, of Jasonville, Indiana passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at his residence surrounded by family.

He was born July 15, 1937 in Darby, PA to William Benjamin Ebert and Ethel Rose Ebert.

Bill was a devoted husband to his wife, Faye Ebert, of Jasonville, IN whom he married on June 20, 1979; beloved father to his children, William (Dawn) Ebert, of Tavares, FL, Aaron Ebert, of Leesburg, FL, Rhonda Knox, of Laporte, IN, Cathy (Roy) Hendershott, of Westville,IN, Tina (Dan) Madison, of Merrilville, IN,  Richard (Patty) Hertaus, of Lake Station, IN, Pamela Powell, of Merrilville,IN, Steven (Christa) Hertaus, of Coalmont, IN, Russell Hertaus, of Fortville, IN, brother, James Ebert, of Naples, FL, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Ron Hertaus, sister, Sandy Buoscio, nieces, Beth Buoscio, and Shelby McCall.

Bill worked as an electrician at the Inland Steel Mills for many years. He was a member of the Wilson General Baptist Church, and the United States Marine Corp.

Bill loved hunting, fishing, and organic gardening. He loved time spent with his family and he enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation is scheduled from 4-7 Wednesday, September 5, 2018. Funeral Services will immediately follow visitation at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor James Phipps officiating. Friends and family are welcome to join in fellowship at the Fire Fly Farm; 14127 W 700 N, Jasonville, Indiana, immediately following the service where dinner will be served.
