WILMA JEAN RUTLEDGE, 82, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away at 8:20 a.m. Thursday, August 30, 2018 in Life’s Journey of Avon, Avon, IN.

She was born July 11, 1936 in Jasonville, IN to James Herbert Overman and Sarah Opal (Starkey) Overman.

Wilma married James L. Rutledge on October 29, 1954 and he passed away on September 12, 2005.

Survivors include her daughters, Karen Orndorff (Kenneth) of Indianapolis, Karla Mullikins (Steve) of Bloomfield; grandchildren, Joseph Borders (Maggie), Becky Thomas, Matthew Borders (Nina), Amy Siebenmorgen, Erin Siebenmorgen, Teddy York (Megan); 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughters, Infant Regina Rutledge and Kimberly Rutledge.

Wilma was a homemaker. She was a member of the O.E.S-Order of Eastern Stars, Tri Kappa. Wilma loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved painting, playing cards and traveling with her sister Dru.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Cremation was chosen. A Gathering of Friends is scheduled from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home. Memorial Services will immediately follow visitation at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2018 at the Cox Funeral Home with Pastor John Riker officiating.

Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.
