WINDELL CECIL LAWSON, 79, of Bloomfield, IN passed away at 9:48 P.M. Sunday, August 6, 2023 in Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, IN.
He was born June 16, 1944 in Terre Haute, IN to Windell Castle Lawson and Carrie I. (Musgrave) Lawson.
Windell married Dawn E. (Roberts) Lawson on September 1, 1967, she passed away on January 2, 2023.
Survivors include his children, Seth Lawson of Bloomfield, IN, Cara Lawson of Brazil, IN; grandchildren, Kelsea Bedwell, Alyssa Snowden, Lacy Cather, Dustin Cather.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Windell had worked for Quacker Maid for several years and for the State Highway Department for 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting black powder guns. He participated in several Rendezvous’s taking part in the camping and demonstrations such as black powder shooting.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. In keeping with Windell’s wishes cremation is scheduled with no services planned.
