ROSEMARY THERESE WITT, 95, of Farmersburg, Indiana passed away at 3:27 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2015 in Brownsburg Healthcare, Brownsburg, IN.

She was born June 28, 1920 in Terre Haute, IN to George Lewis and Elizabeth (Farrell) Lewis.

Rosemary married Edward Witt, Sr. on April 6, 1942 and he passed away on July 10, 1995.

Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Rose & Mike Christy of Indianapolis, IN; sons & daughters-in-law, Edward Jr. & Pam Witt of Jasonville, IN, Steve & Joy Witt of Fairbanks, IN; grandchildren, Robert Witt, Jr., Jamie (Charlie) Cox, Ryan Matteson, Lisa (Kurt) Kunkle, Matthew Valentine, Justin (Rosita) Valentine, Austin (Kristen) Witt, Anthony (Amanda) Witt, Bonnie Witt, Carol Witt; great-grandchildren, Destiny Smith, Brayden Silver, Kaylee Kunkle, Jordan Witt, Mikayla Cox, Isabelle Valentine, Jaiden Valentine, McKenzie Matteson, Kylie Matteson; sister, Sister Frances Ann Lewis of Oldenburg, IN; daughter-in-law, Charlene Witt of Terre Haute, IN; former son-in-law, Dennis Valentine.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Bernadette Witt; son, Robert Witt, Sr.; 8 brothers and sisters.

Rosemary graduated from Girl’s Academy. She earned her nursing degree from St. Anthony’s School of Nursing. Rosemary had worked as a Registered Nurse with surgeons, as an office nurse for Dr. John Freed, Union Hospital and retired from Terre Haute Regional Hospital. Most recently she attended the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church for services and was a member of the St. Joseph University Parish in Terre Haute, IN.

Arrangements were entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, Indiana. Visitation was scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday-Rosary to be at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial was 1 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2015 at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church; 327 W McKinley Street; Jasonville with Father Ray Brenner officiating.

Interment was at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN.

Contributions were made in memory of Rosemary to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Envelopes were available at the funeral home.
